Small Closet Organizer
If you’re stuck with limited storage space, a small closet organizer can be a life saver.
If you’re cursed with small closets and space is at a premium, you have to take the same approach as boat builders and take advantage of all the space you can.
First look at what you need to store or more importantly, what you might be able to give away to charity. This is where you have to be a little disciplined. Do you really need that outfit that you haven’t worn in over three years? Once you have taken inventory, you should have a better understanding of your needs.
Drawers or boxes can be for first place to start with your closet design. You will want to make sure that they are a stack-able design and that they are properly stack to avoid any collapsing. By pre-measuring your wall space, you can make sure that your can fit multiple units next to each other, again, not wasting any space.
Here’s a good small closet organizer suggestion if you have a lot of hanging clothes. By installing multiple shelves and rods can dramatically increase your storage capacity. Many times by simply lowering the closets original rod and shelf, you will create enough room to easily add a second set and basically double your storage in one quick step.
If you have a lot of bulky clothing items like comforters, blankets or winter coats you might want to look at vacuum sealing storage backs. You place your bulky items into the bag, seal it and apply a vacuum hose to the connection. The vacuum will then quickly suck the air out of the bag and out of the item in the bag. When done, remove the hose and the bag has safely shrunk your items to a fraction of their original size. When you are ready to use the item again, just release the seal and the items expand to their original size and shape.
